Scrapping her Boys!!!

This month "scrapping her boys" featured scrapbooker is Lisa Balm....
Hey there all :) I’m Lisa and married with 3 boys, two of which are teenagers. We have lived in Brisbane for 8 years after moving from Tassie in 2000. I have been scrapping for about 6 years and as you could guess my boys are my major source of inspiration. They are very active and sporty and don’t mind having their photos taken so I am never short of photos to scrap. I have a varied style but tend to be more freestyle than anything else. I scrap 8.5x11 and love to do mini albums. I am on the design team for Buzz and Bloom for 2009 and loving it. I love scrapbooking, the creative outlet that it gives me as well as the social side of meeting some wonderful people.

January Swap - STARS

Sorry this is a little later that I hope to get the swaps up by but I have been away from computer access...well now I have made my excuses here is the information...

What do you need to do to take part?
Sign up in the comment section of this post, then email me for confirmation of your spot in the swap and my postal address.

How long until sign up closes?
Sign up will be open until the 13th of this month...(this will be a fairly quick turn around swap) and then I will email everyone who is interested with the number of items you will be required to produce.

How long until the items need mailing?
You will need to have your STAR Embellishments made and in the post to me by the 20th January ...I will then return post them on the 27th ...so you should receive them by the end of the month.

Fairly simple really...there are a couple of specifications so I will list those here:

Please ensure the following:
1. you keep to the time frames specified
2. your swaps are not too large no bigger than 2.5" x 2.5"(for postage reasons)
3. you include a stamped self address envelope with your swaps
4. you have fun and be creative

...Swap are so much fun and very addictive so why not join in. I will be posting a sneaks of what you can expect in your envelope at the end of the month.

Januarys Challenge

So here it is the first Scrap the Boys Challenge of the New Year...

I want you all to look at the NEW BANNER and take some inspiration from it and incorporate it in your layout.

You could use:
• Colours
• Bricks
• Skulls
• Graffiti
• Sun
• Houses
• Birds
• Urban look
• Grungy feel

Or a combination of the things…or anything else you see when you look at it…the interpretation of this challenge is completely up to you. Remember the layout needs to be about your boys, the only exception to the rule is you may use photos of you with the boys... please no other females...

All entries need to be emailed to me susan.longman@bigpond.com by 31st January.

So what is up for grabs?
We have 3 fabulous prizes to kick off the new challenges...

First Prize (decided by creative team vote)
$30 Voucher to spend at Wicked Princesses Kits...they have the yummiest boy kits.
